This is the fifth topic with discussions of tables related to pregnant women and pregnancy outcomes in view of potential inclusion of some of the tables/variables in the IeDEA data harmonization efforts.

BM suggests to consider the use of the key fields

MOTHER_ID Patient ID of mother of child

CHILD_ID Patient ID of the child

plus the fields

DELIV_D Date of delivery

DELIV_M Mode of delivery

BREECH_Y Born from a breech presentation

BM and AS argue about the level of detail for DELIV_M. Should it just be vaginal vs. assisted or do we even need the possibility to code combinations of different modes (e.g. forceps plus vacuum)? Is it feasible to ask for a differentiation between primary and secondary C-section?

AS further questions whether information on breech delivery will be available.
