    Dear colleagues

    Following Julias presentation today here in Sitges, we need to discuss the addition of following variables to tblBAS:

    • Country of birth/Geographic origin (i.e. splitting the currently combined variable ORIGIN "Nationality or region of origin of patient")
    • Year of arrival to host country if born abroad

    In COHERE for the 2014 merger we have introduced a field 'COUNTRY' that indicates country of treatment i.e. the country where the cohort is following the patient. It has the same coding as ORIGIN.

    I think that takes us partway there.
